Aimee Boyd

My name is Aimee Boyd, I am 15 years old. I have been dancing since I was 8 years old and I train at Nadine’s Dance Company in Hartlepool. I am so excited to be part of the CYD Dancestar Dance Company what an amazing opportunity and I cannot wait for the hard work to begin!

 

 

 

Amelia Tyler

Age: 13. Trains: Elmhurst Ballet School 

I am so excited to part of the biggest dance convention.  To dance along side the most talented dancers is just a dream come true.  I can’t wait to meet and dance with everyone at CYD its going to be amazing.

 

 

 

Ben Van Beelen

Ben is 14 years old and lives in Hornsea and trains at Northern Ballet.  “I am really grateful and excited to have been chosen to be a member of the CYD? Dance Star Company and look forward to meeting and training with everyone”

 

Charlie Wilson

My name is Charlie Wilson, I’m 15 years old and I live in Lowestoft. I train at DPA Academy of Dance & Performing Arts & have been there for 3 years. I have competed across the country and won many awards and I am hoping I can bring some of this experience with me to the company. I am so excited and completely overwhelmed at being selected to be part of the CYD? Dance Star Company it’s such a huge achievement for me, I’ve always loved CYD? and have attended every year since it started in 2013. I love performing at any opportunity and I try and ensure I learn something new every day. Being part of this company is going to help me grow so much more as a performer and hopefully enable me to pursue a career in the industry after my training.

Dylan Pocklington

My name is Dylan Pocklington. I am aged 16. I am from Bishop Auckland, County Durham. I attend Nadine’s Dance Company in Hartlepool. I am excited to be part of the CYD Dancestar Company and I am looking forward to working with other talented dancers and the CYD Team.

 

Ellie Fergusson

My name is Ellie Fergusson, I’m 14 years old. I’m from Livingston and I dance with Edinburgh Dance Academy.

I’m so excited and proud to be part of the CYD? Dance Star Company. I can’t wait to get started!

Grace Evans O’Connor

My name is Grace Evans O’Connor, I am 14 years old and I live in West Derby Liverpool. I train at Jelli Studios 5 days a week and I’m also a Tring park associate where I attend every Saturday.

I could literally burst with excitement at being chosen to be a part of the very first CYD? dance star company. I’m so grateful and can’t thank everyone enough for this amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to get involved in all the exciting masterclasses and I’m so looking forward to meeting everyone involved. I’m so excited to get to work with such inspiring and amazing dancers and choreographers xoxoxo Grace

 

Gregory Sadler

My name is Gregory Sadler, I am 15. I’ve been dancing since I was 8 at Jago Dance Studio in Worcester taught by my dance teacher, Simon Hundley. I train 5-6 days a week in lots of styles, to work towards my dream of being a professional dancer on cruise ships or in the West End. I have been really lucky to have such amazing opportunities so far, including representing my country in the Dance World Cup in two solos, being given a scholarship to attend the English Youth Ballet, being awarded a full scholarship to Performers’ College Easter School & being chosen for the first ever Lukas McFarlane SEEDS program with only 19 other dancers from the whole of the UK. I am so honoured to have been chosen to be a CYD?Dance Star as I have always loved the CYD? conventions and I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with such an amazing company and some amazingly talented dancers. I am really excited about this opportunity!

 

 

Harrison Vaughan

Harrison is 14 Years old and Trains Full time at Jelli Studios in Liverpool. From over 2,500 Contestants and at the age of 13, He went on be crowned the Winner of CBBC “Taking The Next Step Series 2” He then went on to Travel to Canada to make a guest appearance on the Huge smash Hit Dance TV show “The Next Step” which is shown World Wide.

He has won:4 Times WORLD CHAMPION in Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Modern,  English Modern Champion, Champion of Champions Song&Dance Winner, regional’s TDCI Champion in Ballet, Modern and Song&Dance, Senior Modern Cheshire champion at age 14, All England Winner X2, Move It FreeStyle Stage Winner 2017.

Harry Henderson

I’m Harry Henderson and I’m 12 years old. I dance at Tab’s Studios in Middlesbrough.

 

When I found out I had been selected to be apart of the “CYD? Dance Star Company” I was overjoyed and extremely excited. I have been to a few Can You Dance? events and have loved them all! Thank you for this absolutely amazing opportunity! 

 

Harry Smallman

Hi I am Harry Smallman I’m 16 years of age and live in Connahs Quay North Wales

I attend Jelli Studios Theatre Arts College Liverpool full time, where I train 5 days a week dancing for over 30hrs. I am the British and English Ballet Champion and a World Champion, I was also a cast member in Dance Mums UK season 2.

I am so excited to be part of the Can You Dance, Dance Star Company and can’t wait to meet all of the amazing dancers around the country. I feel so privileged to be included in the company and hope that I can inspire others. I am looking forward to working with everyone and can’t wait to get started.  

Immi Chambers

Hi I am Immi and I am 14 years old and I dance at Harlequin Stage School in Worcester. Dancing is everything to me, I love dancing and I love Harlequin they are my second family. I started dancing with Miss Paula at Harlequin when I was 3 years old and I do ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, tap, gym and musical theatre. This is so exciting to be a part of CYD. I am so thrilled to have been chosen, I get to dance with so many talented dancers and continue to learn from some of the best in the industry. Thankyou to everyone for always supporting me it really does means the world to me. 

 

 

 

Isabelle Bosher

Isabelle is 14 years old and from Buckinghamshire. She currently trains full time at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts on a full scholarship. She has also recently become a member of the Urban Strides Junior Crew. Aside from dance, Isabelle is also trained in drama, acting and singing. Prior to joining Tring Park School, Isabelle trained at the Rosemary Lane School of Ballet and was an associate at London Senior Ballet and Tring Park School.

She is an Ambassador for Simply Stella and a Bloch Artist and a huge fan of their beautiful dancewear and their brand’s ethos. Isabelle loves nothing more than attending the CYD Conventions, so it is a dream come true for her to chosen to be part of the CYD Dance Star Company. She is very much looking forward to what’s ahead, having the opportunity to be trained by some of the best people in the industry, improving herself and having lots of fun along the way.

Jack Higgins

I am Jack Higgins! I’m so happy to be apart of the Can You Dance? Dance Star Company. I had such an amazing time being a CYD? Dance Star last year and I’m super happy that I get to experience it again in the CYD? Dance Star Company! 

I attend Studio 10 Dance & Drama and I am currently studying courses in: Performance, Musical Theatre and Teaching. I am a 3x Janet Cram Winner in Junior, Senior and Premier, also being awarded ‘Outstanding Dancer’. In 2014, I competed in The Dance World Cup in Portugal. I became a 3x World Champion and ‘Most Promising Boy Dancer’. I also competed in The Dance World Cup in 2017 in Germany! In 2016, I was a competitor in the TV Show ‘Britain’s Got Talent, Series 10’ I danced my way through to the semi-finals. I am so excited for Can You Dance? 2018 

 

Jay Allen

Hi my name is Jay Allan and I am 15 years old. I train at Val Armstrong School of Performing Arts where I dance 6 times a week. I compete regionally and nationally and have won many titles including British and Champion of Champions, Won several scholarships and I am representing my country for the 3rd time in Barcelona this year With 9 dances including a solo. I live and breath dancing and take in every opportunity I can. Thankyou for this opportunity.

Jessica Templeton

Jessica Templeton, aged 14

Training: Scholarship for Tring Park school for the Performing Arts and Royal Ballet Senior Associate.

I am very thankful to CYD? For this amazing opportunity to be part of the “Dance Star company “ and I am very excited to dance at the conventions, I can’t wait!!

Maisy Jones

My name is Maisy Jones. I am 16 years old and train at Harlequin Stage School Worcester. I am so excited to be part of the CYD? Dance star company, training with such talented dancers and making new friends!

 

 

Nat Sweeney

Hi, I’m Nat Sweeney. I’m 15 years old from Birmingham and I attend Elmhurst Ballet School and also my local dance school Sparkles.

I’m so excited to have such a fantastic opportunity to be part of this brand new venture and really looking forward to working with other inspiring dancers.

 

 

 

Rory McLeod

My name is Rory, I’m 16 and I’m from Edinburgh! I currently train at Edinburgh Dance Academy. I’m thrilled to be a part of the CYD? Dance Co this year. I have loved CYD? for a while now so I’m really excited for this. I can’t wait to meet everyone and get started!

Serena McCall

Serena is 14 years old from Scotland and is currently attending full time ballet training after being awarded a scholarship in 2017 at the Prestigious Elmhurst Ballet School, Birmingham.

Beginning her dance training at Central Scotland Ballet School, Serena went on to win both the Royal Academy of Dance Junior Awards and Senior Awards Overall winner in Scotland. Having successfully auditioned to become a Scottish Ballet and Royal Ballet Associate, she gained a much coveted place at The Royal Ballet International Summer School at White Lodge in Richmond 2015. In 2017 Serena was awarded the Dancer of the Year from the elite Edinburgh Associate programme, in association with Ballet West Scotland.

 

 Tabitha O’Sullivan

Hello, my name is Tabitha O’sullivan, I am 13 years old and I train at the vale school of dance. I am so honoured to have been chosen to be a Can You Dance star! I feel as though this experience will develop me as a dancer so I cannot wait to start this journey with CYD Company xx

Tabby been dancing since she was four and loves all styles of dance. She has attended associate programmes in ballet, jazz and tap for a number of years and has represented the IDTA at their international scholarship awards in ballet and modern two years in a row. She has been overall champion and runner up. She is going to The Dance World Cup this year with Vale competing in 12 groups, one duet and a solo.

 

 

Yasmin Li

Yasmin is 16 years old and dances at Harlequin Stage School in Worcester, she is also a Senior Associate of the Royal Ballet School. Yasmin won CYD’s Senior Contemporary Award and is so excited to be part of the CYD Dance Star Co.and is looking forward to working with top choreographers. Yasmin is the current Modern Solo and Lyrical Solo Gold Medallist at the All England Dance and was also a prize winner at the Gala.  She was a semi finalist on CBBC’s Taking the Next Step and was also a Silver Solo Medallist at the Dance World Cup.
