With support from colleges we offer the CYD? scholarship scheme. This allows dancers to gain full or half scholarships to various colleges across the UK. Colleges scout the next generation of performers during the CYD? season between March & October. Grab a CYD? scholarship and secure your future training.
In 2018, CYD? had the opportunity to offer Scholarships worth over £500,000 in funding, in 2019 we hope to increase this even further allowing more dancers access to professional training.
We also for the 2nd year running offered full scholarships to Laine Theatre Arts. This years winner was Phoebe Roberts!
Phoebe was spotted at CYD? 2018 and was shortlisted to attend the CYD? LTA scholarship audition day. We are delighted to say she impressed the whole panel and has been offered a full scholarship to Laine Theatre Arts and began her training in September!
Phoebe has said: “Achieving the Can You Dance? Scholarship still hasn’t sunk in. The day I received the phone call will be a moment I will cherish forever, I was an emotional wreck and couldn’t stop crying. I am so excited to start training in September and I cannot wait to start the journey at Laine Theatre Arts and give it everything I’ve got, but most importantly to see what the future holds. I really cannot thank the CYD? team enough for this amazing opportunity because without this I wouldn’t have been able to pursue this career. It honestly still feels like a dream! Phoebe”
Alongside Phoebe winning the CYD? Scholarship, we are delighted to announce that Khan Rasul and Rory Macleod who were also scouted at CYD 2018 were offered a place with full funding & also began in September !

To be considered for our Laine Theatre Arts Scholarship 2019 you just need to attend one of our conventions. Each masterclass is scouted by the CYD? team and those chosen will be invited to attend the CYD? & Laine theatre arts audition day (You must not currently be in full time training or have already accepted a place at another college).
