Teachers Programme

Looking to expand your knowledge and freshen up your teaching skills? The next Teachers Programme will take place during the Super Convention on Sunday 20th October.

Please note: If you buy a ticket to the teachers programme you will also get a free entry ticket on the Sunday. If you wish to attend the event on the Saturday also you will need to buy an entry ticket for that day, unless you are bringing a group to perform.

9:30am – Acro Pad – Join AcroPAD’s founder Daniel Keating to learn how their product and teaching can increase effectiveness in your studio.

Help build and market your Acro classes along with different techniques AcroPAD allows you to use. Understand the wide range of movements and dance styles AcroPAD can impact from Acro to Ballet conditioning, Jazz to Breaking, Contemporary to Flexibility and much more.

10:30am – The benefits of dance in early childhood with the RAD  

This taster session will focus on key aspects including:
  • developing the attention span of the young child;
  • development of expression and imagination through movement;
  • development of musicality through the understanding of pulse, rhythm, speed, pitch and phrasing;
  • cognitive, affective and social development;
  • development of body awareness; gross and fine motor skills.

11:30am – Flexibility and Strengthening exercises with Mandy Yip  & Acrobatic Arts 

Renowned for her knowledge and experience Mandy Yip will help give you the tools needed to improve your students flexibility and strength in this 45 minute teachers masterclass.

Costume Gallery – Costume Versatility: Learn 3 New Ways to Style a Costume for Multiple Use

In this session, studio owners, dancers, and choreographers alike can learn how to best prepare their dancers for multiple performances through the creative use of one costume.  Our experts will share the industry secrets with you on how to style dancers for different genres of dance whether it be for recital or competition.

1:30pm – Teachers Masterclass with Carrie-Anne Ingrouille

Let your hair down and enjoy this fun jazz/commercial inspired 45 minute masterclass. Give yourself the chance to DANCE again. Just for teachers!
