What to expect?

CYD? are delighted to partner with IDS this year to unite & inspire teachers from across the UK, igniting fresh new ideas. This one day programme is aimed at teachers & student teachers, aged 16+. This is your chance to create your own timetable from a list of incredible classes & seminars. All classes are non-syllabus based, therefore we welcome teachers from all examination boards. Practical sessions will cover a variety of styles that are current, fresh and informative. The dance classes will be a mixture of both demonstrations and dancing but if you would prefer to just watch and take notes during these classes, then that is absolutely fine.
“Our dance faculty are hand-selected for their teaching experience, not just their credentials.” – Tom Shilcock & Matt Flint

Teachers Exhibition

Our EXHIBITION  is specially designed for teachers, with hand-selected businesses that can help make your life easier. Whether you’re seeking the latest costumes, software or business tools, all will be available for you to browse all under one roof, throughout the day in the exhibition.

Getting there!

The CYD? Teachers programme is taking place this year at Birmingham Ormiston Academy based close to central Birmingham

Set at the heart of the UK motorway network, Birmingham is linked by the M5, M6, M40 and M42 while the A34 and A38 further add to your options and the M1 is less than 30 minutes away. The M6 Toll Road adds another choice (while also helping to keep through traffic away from city centre at peak times).

BY BUS & COACH 🚌

In the centre of the country and with the M6, M5 and M42 all within minutes of the city centre, the city can be easily reached within a couple of hours of pretty much anywhere else in the country. Birmingham bus terminal is located about 1.2 km from the town centre, which is only a 15-minute walk.

BY AIR  ✈️

There is an international airport located 15 minutes from the city centre.

BY TRAIN 🚂

Birmingham New Station Street, is approximately a ten-minute walk from Birmingham Ormiston Academy. National Rail Enquiries: 08457 484950

CAR PARKING 🚘

The address for the venue is 1 Grosvenor St, Birmingham B4 7QD. Unfortunately, there is no on-site parking at BOA. The nearest car-park is Millenium Point, 2 mins walk from the venue.
