My name is Victoria, I am Manchester based and currently work as a teacher for the top dance college’s and professional dance training establishments in the city including : Shockout Academy, Northern Ballet School, Centre Point, The Manchester College, KNT Danceworks & MM Jazz Company. I am also an agent representing for SL Talent in the Manchester Area
Prior to that I have worked consistently as a Professional Dancer for 12 years for the majority of which, as a loyal Dance Captain to Qdos Productions and choreographer Alan Harding.
I have a strong passion for the industry and want to pay forward my first hand experiences to the next generation of dancers.
Throughout my career I have been part of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing backing dancer team (with ongoing bookings) and also assistant choreographer to Alan Harding for his show premier on Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 – Rhythm of the Night.
Within my classes I can offer all styles of Jazz however, what sets me apart from others is that I have extensive experience in the Ballroom & Latin world, which when fused with theatrical dance is exactly what is dominating the current audition scene at the moment, with 15 high profile tours alone created this year requiring this style of dance off the back of Strictly Come Dancing.
Throughout my whole career I have booked all of my own work, forming a reliable working relationship which has always lead to the re-booking of many jobs including working for Qdos Productions for over 5 years and later becoming an assistant choreographer and rebooked for many seasons by Richard Curwin from BBC Worldwide Strictly Come Dancing.
I am also extremely passionate about mentoring students on the business side of the industry, passing on valuable information which will help any performer apply themselves professionally for any situation such as; becoming a dance captain or company manager, making a show reel, getting an agent, even small tips to help backstage with a fast paced show. Plus what to do for work in between auditions and jobs.
I am a very committed, enthusiastic and determined person with a lot of energy to give.
